#Trending FW17: Hoops!

You may remember them from the 80's and 90's with everyone from the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Cindy Crawford sporting the popular hoop earring jewellery trend.

And now fast forward to 2017 hoops are back and "bigger" than ever with sightings of them on Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Fendi FW17 runways. So if there's one accessory you need to invest in this FW17, it's a pair of oversized hoops! The versatile piece can easily be worn with an evening dress, worn casually with a white tee and jeans look or with your hair up or down.

Hoops were spotted on the runway in Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs & Fendi.

But it isn't just all over the runways. The hoop trend has made its way into all the Hollywood It girls wardrobes too. Kaia Gerber, daughter of Cindy Crawford loves the jewellery trend as much as her famous mum did back in the day and can regularly be seen in hoops on and off the red carpet.

The new muse to top designers such as Marc Jacobs and Versace, Kaia can also be seen working the trend as part of an everyday 90's inspired outfit with a crop top and high waisted denim.

Emily Ratajkowski is also another celebrity who just can't live without hoops -  literally! She even takes them to the beach with her styling them with edgy swimsuits, designer sunglasses and her amazing tan.

BUT if oversized are a bit too bold for your style there are options. Smaller hoops are also still massively on trend and are a more subtle way to still sport this season's hottest jewellery piece.

The Emeralds & The Emmys

Ever since it’s announcement as the Pantone colour of the year last December, it’s safe to say the colour green has been EVERYWHERE. So it’s no surprise the hue which represents youth, vitality and growth, has recently been spotted all over the  red carpet at this years Emmy Awards. Here are some of our favourite emerald jewellery looks from the night.

Emmy Rossum in Zac Posen
Actress Emmy Rossum may have stolen the show with her sophisticated  Zac Posen Fall 2017 black gown but it was her jewellery that really sealed the deal. She teamed her dress with a pair of elegant geometric styled emerald earrings and signature statement ring. The colour was a perfect choice for her skin tone, glam hair style and the green really popped against her dark brown wavy hair.

Be inspired by Emmy's red carpet glam with our Mosaic Earrings in Emeralds & Diamonds.

Lea Michele in Elie Saab
Elsewhere on the red carpet, Glee star Lea Michele dazzled in a sequin plum Elie Saab dress. Opting for a natural make up style and sleek hair do, her gorgeous earrings are what caught our attention. The multi-coloured earrings were a mix of emeralds, diamonds with a subtle hint of purple sapphire (to reference her plum dress) and were the perfect addition to a very chic Emmy look.

Jane Fonda In Brandon Maxwell
Also spotted on the red carpet in this season’s hottest gem - Jane Fonda. The screen siren took the emerald trend to the next level by styling her hot pink pink gown with a reversible emerald and diamond necklace with matching earrings.

Off duty chic
But the jewel isn’t just restricted for the red carpet. The emerald trend can easily been worn on off duty days as spotted here on Hailey Baldwin. She dressed down her emerald drop earrings with a Gucci bomber and camo beanie proving you don’t just have to save them only for red carpet or special occasions.
